so fun you should have your own tv show.
its a great
yoga pitch!
with a twist. love the poses framing the fireplace
and all the little touches.

Loved your book. Trailer hooked me but the book was so much more. I could relate to so many of your character descriptions in the yoga community.

Thanks, AirBetty! So glad you liked it.

Gee Suzanne ! How often do you practice ? I mean, how much time each day do you devote yourself to yoga ? You look so flexible, I wish I could do that. I have a hard time with my schedule; practicing yoga three hours after eating when I am eating all the time. I don't get to do much. Anyway, congratulations for those not so easy poses !

Nicole, I feel your pain. I eat all the time, too, and it can be rough trying to practice yoga on a full stomach. I'd say I practice about three times a week at a studio, when things are going well. Lately I've been lucky to get there once a week, since things have been awfully busy with the book being out. But I try and at least do a few stretches every day. Which means I actually succeed in doing that every couple of days, if I'm lucky!

I'm naturally pretty flexible, but I'm also naturally very weak. We all have our thing, you know? I've been practicing yoga for over a decade now and I still struggle with any posture than requires upper body strength. Because I have very little!

I stumbled on this as I am a big fan of Mike Daisey and of course, his wife Jean-Michele Gregory. As a reluctant yogi (named after my parents yoga teacher and resisted it vehemently until my early 30's), I now practice everyday. As a personal trainer/fitness instructor, life coach & endurance athlete, I got into it for improving flexibility & performance. After a severe and debilitating injury that cost me my business and ability to train, perform, and function normally, I used it for rehabilitation and then found that I needed it for much more than that. It has become my saving grace, and a cure for depression, anxiety, fear, grief, sorrow, hopelessness and anger. It centers me, grounds me, and connects me spiritually to the world around me and the people in it. I practice alone, mostly, as I have encountered many "yoga bitches", yoga snobs or yoga sheisters along my journey and I am looking forward to reading your book as I suspect you may have met some of these people too! I really wish I could see your show. Is it available for purchase on DVD anywhere?? I am DYING TO SEE IT!!!! I live in Florida, very far from where you are performing the show :( MUCH LOVE TO YOU AND NAMASTE BITCHES!!!!!!

Thanks so much, Eva-- I hope you enjoy the book! I'm afraid there isn't a DVD of the show available at present, and I'm actually no longer performing it either. After many years with the Bitch, I've moved on to some new projects. But every story that was in the show is in the book, and many more. Thanks so much for getting in touch!
