Great column! Such an interesting perspective. I've struggled with this issue myself. Im an avid reader and have always wanted to learn more about different religions and spirituality in general. Just yesterday, I found myself in the religion section of the local bookstore, anxiously glancing over my shoulder, hoping no one I knew saw me and that strangers around me didn't think I was a crazy right winger in search of the latest Tea Partier's proclamations. Its a crazy world we live in!
