Yoga Bitch Giveaways

One of my favorite bloggers, Claire Bidwell Smith, author of the forthcoming book The Rules of Inheritance, is giving away free copies of Yoga Bitch on her blog! Read more about it here.

Yoga Bitch isn’t just a book for yogis; rather it’s a book for seekers, for those of us who know there’s more out there, even if finding it means giving up everything about who you thought you were in order to become who you always wanted to be.

And Yogadork, the end-all be-all of yoga blogs, is also giving away free copies of my book. Here's that contest. You have till Wednesday to enter!

I'm in DC now, headed to New York tomorrow. Yesterday I had my first reading and it was more fun than I ever could have imagined. I'll post pics & details soon.

It's a really fun rendition of one woman's yoga experience, with some illumination, sober moments and laughter for all of us. I've bought three copies for friends.

Glad to hear the reading went well. Natarajasana with a lit cigarette in your mouth could be an amusing play on the cover illustration, as a way to end your reading.

Hey, I bought your book about 2 weeks ago and I haven't been able to put it down! I'm about to go into a yoga teacher training and although your book is freaking me out a bit, it's also making me laugh out loud every five minutes! Great Job with this book!

Thank you so much, Anna. That is so great to hear! Good luck with your teacher training-- it's well worth the madness, considering how much you'll learn.

Late as usual. I missed the giveaways. Are there any other giveaways out there for your book? Are you doing any events in Chicago?

Finished your book today...and may I just say WOW! I love how I went to the book store looking for the Bhagavad Gita and I left with your book instead...so happy I did! I will recommend it to everyone I know!

Megan: If we do another giveaway somewhere, I'll post it here! No dates in Chicago at the moment, but I would love to do an event there, so I'll keep my ear to the ground for possibilities. Thanks for checking in!

I just finished devouring your book. I am just starting a beginners yoga class with a friend. While reading the book, I began dog-earring the pages that made me roar so that when my friend reads it she will she what I found so funny. Good lord, I dog-eared so many pages, the book looks like it's ten years old already. What a wordsmith you are. Loved it and may pick it up again in a few months. Have fun promoting. Are you in the Baltimore area while touring?

Thank you so much, Dotsie. I'm in Washington, DC, but my event here is over! Now I'm headed to the Netherlands for more events. I wish I could read in Baltimore, too!

I just finished reading "Yoga Bitch". I found it fascinating--very sad when it ended because I wanted more.

It takes a lot of guts to share all you did with grace and humor.

I recently started a blog, Youthful Yogini, and I'm trying (really trying) to blog without any filters. I have to tell you, it's beyond hard.

Thank you for your insight and your tongue-in-cheek encouragement. I can't wait for your next book!

Thanks, Youthful yogini! So glad you liked the book. Good luck with your blog--I'll check it out!

Just finished the book last night. I read most of it outside on my patio (in stolen moments when I should have been in the garden or doing other chores). I'm passing the book on to a friend. :)

Thanks so much! Sounds like a lovely spot for reading, even with chores hanging over your head. So glad you enjoyed the book!
